Five Questions to Ask Your Direct Sales Sponsor

Neal's Yard Remedies | NYR Organic | Blue Bottle Passion | Recruiting | Sponsoring | WAHM | SAHM | Direct Sales | Network Marketing

You’ve decided to give direct sales a try. You found a company you believe in

Choosing the right direct sales company is crucial. Picking the right direct sales sponsor to sign up under can make all the difference in the world for your success. I am putting together a Dream Team for Neal’s Yard Remedies, and I want to be your mentor, coach and sponsor.

You will certainly get a vibe about your potential sponsor from speaking to her and how fast she gets back to you with answers to questions. Still not sure? Here are five questions to ask of anyone you are considering signing up under.

How long have you been with the company?

I signed up with Neal’s Yard Remedies back in November of 2014. I’ve attended every national conference since. I believe in this company’s mission and their amazing products. My upline leader is a founding regional leader with Neal’s Yard Remedies.

How do I sell the products?

Since becoming an Independent Neal’s Yard Remedies Consultant, I have built my business in a variety of ways, and I can help you discover the best ways for you.

In home workshops are the fastest way to earn money, but not the only way to work your business. There are almost as many ways to do workshops as there are consultants. Pampering or aromatherapy? Theme or make and take? Catalog or online parties? One on ones? Let’s bounce some ideas off each other, and come up with a plan to fit your style.

How about vendor events? Wondering how to find and choose? I’ve done them, and can let you know what to look for and how to do them. .

How knowledgable are you about Social Media?

Social media can grow your business. I have a team Facebook group to keep you informed, whether you are a “business builder” or a “friends and family” consultant. If you have the interest, I will help you maximize your Facebook presence. I absolutely love online marketing, and have taken classes in Facebook parties, Pinterest, and  blogging. I will steer you to networking groups to keep up with the latest strategies for attraction marketing.

What do you know about the products?

In the years I’ve been a consultant, I’ve been my own best customer, so I’ve tried a lot of products. Wondering what to order as hostess gifts from your “launch” party? What has been selling the best? What are good cash and carry items for vendor events? I can give you some input.

What do you know about the company?

Company knowledge is also important. Knowing what is allowed and whether you can use the company name on social media. Understanding the compensation plan. If you are still looking at direct sales companies read 10 Questions to Ask Before Joining a Direct Sales Company.

I’ve been in direct sales off and on for many years. I believe Neal’s Yard Remedies is in the right place at the right time, and 2018 will be a huge year for NYR. This is an incredibly exciting time for direct sales, and I am looking forward to joining you on your entrepreneurial journey. Your success matters to me. Let’s partner together and change the world for the better, one blue bottle at a time.

My 2018 Word of the Year

Focus Word, Word of the Year, 2018 word of the year

Do you choose a focus word at the beginning of a new year? I did last year, and for the life of me I couldn’t remember what it was. I was thinking it had something to do with relationships-big surprise! Apparently I lost my focus.

As 2017 comes to a close, I’m thinking about goals for my business and personal life, and again I’m choosing a focus word for the coming year. Maybe if I write it at the top of my planner each month, I can stay more focused, right?

2017 is the year I finally “got” the mind-set thing. I’m embarrassed to say I’ve never been the type of person who puts her goals in writing, but I finally understand the power in doing that.

Thanks to looking back on my iPad, I found last year’s word. Now I remember, and I did in fact keep the word “reach” in sight for the first part of the year.

My goal in 2018 is recruiting a Neal’s Yard Remedies team of business builders. I want to share Neal’s Yard Remedies products with many more clients so they will be improving their lives and their health. I want to offer the option to host and earn free and half-priced products.

So my focus word for 2018 is “invitation.” Invitation is a low pressure word. Whether I invite you for a cup of coffee or to join the Neal’s Yard Remedies family, it’s for you to decide if it’s right for you. I need to get out of my own way and not take it personally when my invitation is declined. In fact I need to think of each no as getting me that much closer to yes.

Focus Word, Word of the Year, 2018 Focus word,

Invitations are not a life-long commitments. They are just invitations. It for you to decide if you accept and try for a month or two, or for the long haul. I invite you to learn more about what Neal’s Yard Remedies has to offer you. This company has been such a blessing to me and my family. I would love to see you blessed as well. Contact me for a “think about it” packet, and together let’s make 2018 our best year ever!

Top 10 Benefits of Joining Neal’s Yard Remedies

Neal's Yard Remedies, NYR Organic, Join my Neal's Yard Remedies Team, Join Neal's Yard Remedies

Joining Neal’s Yard Remedies as an Independent Consultant could be the best decision you will ever make. I truly never planned to do direct sales when I ordered out my business kit. In fact, I signed up without ever trying the products. That brings us to reason number one.

Join Neal's Yard Remedies, NYR Organic, Join my team

  1. Low cost business kit with huge retail value. I love a good bargain, and the Neal’s Yard Remedies business kit is a pretty awesome value. Not only do you receive a great assortment of full-sized products, but it includes everything you need to get your business off the ground. It includes a free website, catalogs, and order forms.
  2. Discount on personal products. Following up on the last point, is the personal discount. I really love double dipping on the discount when my favorite products go on sale. I sometimes get my favorites for close to half price. Now that’s being a smart shopper!
  3. The extra income. What would extra income mean for you? How would you feel if you had the extra money to take the family on a well-deserved vacation, sign the kids up for a sports camp or music lessons, or get that smart TV your husband has been eyeing at Costco? If you are in a holistic business, how would offering organic products to your clients enhance your business?
  4. Flexible hours. Whether you have young children, are a college student, have another job or are a retiree, with Neal’s Yard Remedies, you really can work your own schedule. I know. Lots of companies say they have flexible hours, but if they have monthly minimums or targeted goals you need to reach, it may not be all that flexible. Neal’s Yard Remedies does not have monthly minimums. To remain a consultant in good standing you simply need to place an order of $100 retail at least once every 12 months.
  5. Work from home. You wouldn’t believe my work wardrobe. Yes, I’m often still in my pajamas when I get online in the morning. No, I can’t wear pajamas to a vendor event, but my work wardrobe can be pretty minimal. I also don’t put many miles on the car.
  6. Incentives and recognition from the company. Believe it or not, everyone isn’t motivated by money. I know, it’s kind of shocking in one way. Would it make any difference to you if I said you will make X amount of dollars this month when you sell $500, OR you can earn this super cute tote bag with a darling “save the bumble bees” logo on it for selling $500 this month? Sure, you get the money either way, but there is something about being able to earn that extra prize that is so motivating! If leadership is something you are thinking about, there is plenty of room in Neal’s Yard Remedies. How would it feel to walk across the stage at conference and be recognized for your achievements? Is travel your dream? It’s possible to earn a fabulous trip by meeting your goals.
  7. Learn business skills. I’ve learned so much since I became a Neal’s Yard Remedies consultant. I love sharing what I learn with others. I’ve learned about facials and skincare, aromatherapy and essential oils, social media, and so much more. There’s free training in your back office and I can pretty much guarantee the more you learn, the more you will fall in love with this company.
  8. Friendships and relationships. Pampering workshops, Facebook events, networking, being a part of something important, meeting like-minded women at conferences, and chatting with interested people at vendor events all lead to forming new friendships.
  9. Tax benefits. Speak with your tax advisor to see how you may benefit from running your own business.
  10. Change the world. If you don’t think companies should be allowed to sell products with ingredients that are known to harm human health, animals and the planet, vote with your dollars. Join me and let’s change the world, one blue bottle at a time.
